In the beginning of May,
Phil purchased two live leopard sharks, and decided to
keep them in one of our empty tanks. One of the sharks lasted
only two days.
But the other one lasted for 3 whole weeks. After some research
from the book,
Fishery Resources of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary,
we learned that
from March thru July, leopard sharks give birth to their offspring
in the Elkorn
Slough (Which is close to where we released Spot). Here for
you, are some
photos we took of the event...
