Historically, the Monterey Bay yields the world famous Monterey Squid. This year the West Coast is experiencing the effects of El Nino. This, in turn, has lead to the demise of the annual Monterey Squid harvest. In it's place, we have one of the largest squids of all: The Giant Mexican Squid!

So with that, Phil's Fish Market has commissioned vessels to go out and bring in fresh catches of the Giant Mexican Squid. We process the squid by cleaning, tenderizing, breading, and individually quick freeze (IQF). The squid are packed for institutional and retail trade. With the focus of our process on quality and freshness.
